Villainous Benchmark Wiki

Do I look like I was born yesterday?
~ Gizmo

Gizmo is the leader of the H.I.V.E. Five and one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Trigon) of the 2013 Cartoon Network TV series, Teen Titans Go!. He is a short, bratty little boy, who can invent a bunch of high-tech evil weapons and one of the arch-rivals of The Teen Titans.

He was voiced by Lauren Tom, who also voiced Jinx in the same show.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

In General[]

  • He is a creator that uses his inventions, usually his giant robot army, to endanger the people of Jump City and attempts to kill the Teen Titans.
  • As the leader of the H.I.V.E. Five he is involved in crimes of robbery, vandalism and mass murder.
  • Even when he is not doing villainous deeds, Gizmo usually acts as an egotist jerk with everyone and still does some morally wrong actions like cheating in competitions.
  • While he is constantly mocked by everyone because of his dwarfism, being always compared with a 5-year-old baby, this is never used as an excuse for his crimes, and even if this is what motivates him to commit his crimes they would easily subvert it due to how heinous he is.
  • Although Trigon and Darkseid are more heinous than him, he has far less resources than them, so he can't be compared with them.

Season 1[]

  • In "Laundry Day", he attempts to take over Jump City with his robot army and fight Robin, only leaving because he is disgusted to see Robin naked.
  • In "Super Robin", he robs a bank with the other H.I.V.E. Five members attempt to kill Cyborg with his weapons.
  • In "Artful Dodgers", he and the H.I.V.E. robs the museum endangering other people in the process, after being arrested they escape from jail to participate in the dodgeball competition and they rob another bank later.
  • In "The Left Leg", he destroys Jump City with his robot army and confronts the Titan Robot.
  • In "Power Moves", he and the H.I.V.E. robs a bank as usual and confronts the Titans once again.
  • In "No Power", he and the H.I.V.E. robs another bank only to be defeated by Starfire's mailbox.
  • In "Sidekick", he goes to Gotham City to terrorize the city, killing police officers, putting a bomb and attempting to kill the Titans using Batman's Ultimate Batarang.
  • In "Legs", he causes trouble in Jump City once again only to be defeated by Robin and later by Lady Legasus.
  • In "Breakfast Cheese", he and the H.I.V.E. are loitering in a no-loitering zone and then try to wipe out the Titans when they see they have become peaceful people.
  • In "Opposites", he and the H.I.V.E. robs a bank once again and fights Robin, later after finding out that Jinx is dating Cyborg in secret she forbids her to see him.
  • In "In and Out", he attempts to turn the H.I.V.E. Tower into a space station to bombard the earth with missiles, only attempting to destroy his own tower when he is tired of his new recruits and after they reveal that they are the Titans infiltrated he fights them, when the H.I.V.E. Tower is destroyed he moves to the Titan Tower disturbing the Titans.

Season 2[]

  • In "Money Grandma", he robs another bank and fights the Titans once again.
  • In "Road Trip", he attempts to kill the Titans as revenge for being rude with them.
  • In "Mouth Hole", he captures the Titans and attempts to kill them with his laser.
  • In "Real Boy Adventures", he steals the Titans' hot tub and attempts to kill Fleshy Guy.
  • In "Let's Get Serious", he tries to steal a warehouse and then he attempts to attack the Earth with a missile.
  • In "Multiple Trick Pony", he robs another bank and attempts to kill Kid Flash.
  • In "Operation Tin Man", he kidnaps Cyborg in exchange for a ransom and he messes up with him after being annoyed by him.
  • In "The HIVE Five", he is plotting to commit new crimes only to decide to take a day off.
  • In "Some of Their Parts", he is seen causing trouble in the city first with the H.I.V.E. and later with his giant robot.

Season 3[]

  • In "Hey You, Don't Forget about Me in Your Memory", he fights against Robin's Crane kick.
  • In "Scary Figure Dance", he destroys Jump City's candy factory and then kills the Titans, only reviving them when he is tormented by them as ghosts.
  • In "Animals, It's Just A Word!", he steals another bank and fights the Titans with their new animal powers.
  • In "The True Meaning of Christmas", he vandalizes a police car.
  • In "Garage Sale", he sends one of his robots to destroy Jump City.
  • In "How Bout Some Effort?", he acts as a jerk with the Titans and Jinx while acting as their baby for Valentine's day (though understandable).
  • In "Wally T" he attacks the city with his robot army and almost kills the Titans and Wally T.
  • In "The Titans Show", he is among the villains forcing the Titans to continue with the island special.
  • In "Snuggle Time", he terrorizes Jump City with his laser and attempts to destroy the museum.

Season 4[]

  • In "The Streak", he destroys Jump City with his robot.
  • In "Costume Contest", he attempts to defeat the Titans while he and the H.I.V.E. are disguised as them to win the contest.

Season 5[]

  • In "The Scoop", he captures Starfire by using The Scoop as bait and attempts to torture her.
  • In "My Name is Jose", he tries to use his Robot Army to defeat the Teen Titans and mocks their new powers.
  • In "Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star: Second Greatest Team Edition", he wins the contest by stealing the Titans' performances.
  • In "Stockton, CA!", he robs a bank twice, although the second time there was no money since everyone left the city.
  • In "Forest Pirates", he mocks the Titans when he almost wins the big canoe race due to acting as forest pirates.

Season 6[]

  • In "Titans Go Casual", he robs a bank as usual and attempts to kill the Titans.
  • In "Villains in a Van Getting Gelato", he attempts to kill the Titans along with Brother Blood, Dr. Light and Brain, even if it was partly justified since the Titans were destroying the city with their robot.

Season 7[]

  • In "Fat Cats", he is seen stealing another bank when the Titans take some of the money to collect his taxes.
  • In "50% Chad", he steals another bank only to be stopped by the Titans once again.

Season 8[]

  • In "Always Be Crimefighting", he brings snacks to the movies even though it's not allowed, just so Beast Boy can confiscate them.

Season 9[]

  • In "Shhhh", he robs the bank as usual and then he takes advantage of the Titans caring carefully a sleeping gray gorilla to easily kill them.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • While he passes the baseline by consistently terrorizing Jump City and sometimes another cities while killing thousands of people, and for attempting to bombard the earth with missiles, which presumably would make him to kill billions of people, he slightly relies on Fridge Horror, as it is not specified how destructive would be his missile bombard towards the Earth as is only superficially signed, is is also unknown how many people he killed which his robot army and what is going to do with the city when he attempts to take it under his control. However, this is a minor prevention since his homicidal intentions are still marked.
  • Due to the comedic nature of the show, Gizmo is consistently played for laughs, having lots of detracting comedic moments like when he is compared with a 5-year-old baby with everyone on when he is humiliated and acts as a jerk with everyone.
  • He has friendship with several people who he cares:
    • He cares about the other members of the H.I.V.E. Five, as he enjoys spending time with them and refuses to hurt them even when he is mad with them, like in "Operation Tin Man" when they were laughing at his photos with his face put in baby's bodies.
      • By extension, he was friendly with Red X, Stone, Ravin, Sapphire and Beast Bob before realizing that they were the Titans even if he was annoyed by them.
    • In "Operation Tin Man", he ends becoming good friends with Cyborg and ends up saddened for him being separated by the Titans, nothing suggests that this friendship was subverted at all even if they became rivals once again.
    • In "Snuggle Time", he seems to care about his pet cats.
    • In "Villains in a Van Getting Gelato", he is shown to have friendships with Brother Blood, Dr. Light and Brain, showing empathy for them for being constantly humiliated by the Titans.
  • He is On & Off as there are moments when he acts in a heroic way or simply as a good person with the other H.I.V.E. members, occasionally regretting his actions as a villain and hanging out with the Titans.
  • He is somewhat of a scapegoat as he is usually a victim of the Titans' antics, being beaten more than what he deserves or even when he is not doing anything bad.
