Eiji Mitamura, also known as Ei-Chan by Kasuga, is the secondary antagonist of the 2024 action-adventure RPG video game Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
He was a former reporter of the Touto Press and the former leader of Bleach Japan's Tokyo branch. He unfortunately lost his credibility as a reporter due to being framed by the yakuza. Therefore, he sought revenge on them, particularly Ichiban Kasuga, by ruining their careers.
He was voiced by and modeled after Ryo Narita, in the English dub, he was voiced by Aleks Le.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- Along with Ebina, he created Tatara Channel, a propagandistic social media page, in order to frame Ichiban of employing ex-yakuza while he only wanted to make them employed and doing honest jobs.
- He knew about Ichiban's helpful personality and his past with Masato Arakawa, his disabled brother, so he faked being disabled in order to exploit his kindness and spied on him.
- In need for an attractive voice, he blackmailed and threatened Chitose in order to provide the voice of Tatara, the channel's mascot. He also forced her to spy on Ichiban and his party, in order to provide more information to him and Ebina.
- Sending the Barracudas to the party's safehouse, indirectly caused the death of Kihei Hanawa and Wong Tou.
- Pretended to kill Lani, who was just an innocent child, in order to mock Ichiban.
- After Chitose turned on him and redeemed herself, he has got another person to voice Tatara, in order to continue the channel's operation, exposing Kiryu, Majima, Saejima and Daigo to make people believe they were trying to revive the Tojo Clan, revealing to the mass that Kiryu was alive.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He ultimately failed the heinous standards to the other antagonists in the franchise, especially to the other villains in the same game:
- Masataka Ebina, who planned to commit genocide by sending millions of ex-yakuza to an isolated island to let them die slowly from radioactive waste. In fact, most of Eiji's crimes were ordered by Ebina.
- Bryce Fairchild, who has been doing his evil things in his cult for half a decade, committing child abduction, child manipulation and human trafficking.
- Dwight Mendez, who lead the notorious Barracuda gang, framed a lot of innocent men for his crimes, sending them to prison for a long time. Tomizawa was one of his victims.
- He was an honest reporter with a decent life but was tragically framed, thus ending his career and losing his credibility, which led to him becoming vengeful as a result.
- After Chitose exposed him and the true color of Tatara Channel, he received numerous hate by the public, and was left temporarily crippled, thus showing remorse on his actions.
- At the end, thanks to him faking his frienship with Ichiban, he unintentionally gained his trust, thus he was convinced by Ichiban to turn himself in, giving his chance to redeem and to earn forgiveness by himself, which means his actions were not way too far to redeem himself that easily. He then gratefully thanked Ichiban, accepted their friendship and his chance of redemption.
Trivia[]
- In the ending of Infinite Wealth, Ichiban told him he will wait for him after he finishes his sentence. His status may change if he subverts his corrupting qualities and does heroic deeds,
