Edward "Eddie" Caputo is the secondary antagonist of the 1988 supernatural slasher film Child's Play, the first installment of the eponymous film series. He was a petty criminal and the accomplice and protégée of the serial killer Charles Lee Ray, having known him since they were kids. One fateful night, Eddie leaves Charles to his fate when trying to escape the police and his actions lead Charles to transform into Chucky, essentially setting the film series into motion. He was portrayed by Neil Giuntoli. As a child, he was portrayed by Ivano DiCaro.

His Villainous Deeds[]
- As a child he already shown somewhat psychotic tendencies poking the corpse of the dead janitor that Charles Lee Ray had killed.
- At an unknown point he murdered people with Charles Lee Ray and his girlfriend Tiffany Valentine.
- He helped Charles Lee Ray kidnap Sarah Pierce and drove her to an unknown location.
- He is made to be the get away driver for Charles if the police arrive.
- When the police arrive he flees leaving Charles behind (although to be fair had he stopped to give Charles time to get in they both would have been caught by the police).
- His action caused Charles to transfer his soul into the Chucky doll.
- He hides in an abandoned building away from the police.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While his crimes of murder, kidnapping and fleeing the police do pass the baseline he fails the heinous standard to his former friend who became a Chucky and his friend’s girlfriend Tiffany.
- He is played for sympathy as he was most likely a normal kid before Charles taught him how to swear.
- He is shown to have standards as when searching his house he points his gun at Andy but quickly sighs in relief showing he wouldn’t want to harm a kid.
- His death makes him a scapegoat.
- He is a pawn of Chucky who never truly cared for him.
