His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- He stole a candy from one of the van stands from Freedonia Cheese Festival.
- He asks Gru to go in a heist together which Gru agrees so they could steal the Dumon Diamond from Balthazar Bratt.
- He was upset that in Gru plan that he is the getaway driver. When he wanted to be on Gru's side when they get their hands on the diamond and became the richest supervillain in the entire world.
- When they got home when Gru said he will return the Dumont Diamond. Dru hesitate and said "we can't return the Dumont Diamond" which make them argue because Dru tries to convince Gru to return to evil again though Gru refused.
- At the end of the film, he stole Gru's airship and replace Gru emblems with D. Gru and Lucy catch them in the act as Dru continue his family tradition with the minions.
- While originally incompetent to the point where he almost ruins Gru's heist, he subverts this by the end of the movie when he is able to constantly outsmart Gru at every turn.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He fails the baseline terribly with the worst he does being acts of theft that don't involve any severe casualties at all.
- He massively fails the heinous standard compared to other villains in the series like Scarlet Overkill, Balthazar Bratt, El Macho and even characters like his own brother Gru, Vector, and Herb Overkill (who fail the baseline and the standards themselves).
- He does care for Gru as he did save Gru by destroying Balthazar Bratt robot and he wanted Gru to teach him on how to be a great supervillain.
- He is On and Off, despite wanting to be a supervillain he teams up with Gru and Lucy to take down Balthazar Bratt.
- He was polite and kind to his brother as he wanted Gru to teach Dru on how to become one of the greatest supervillain.
- He does respect Gru despite returning to villainy he wanted to continue the family tradition way and he is more friendly with Gru despite them being in opposite sides.
- He has a tragic backstory of being separated from Gru when he was young and had to be raised by his abusive father Robert who refused to teach him how to be a villain, which is played for sympathy.
