  • Despite helping save the universe from the Metarex, he would still resume his evil ways again and starts to build up the Eggman Empire, albeit more in a light-hearted manner than before.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • While his actions pass the baseline, he fails the high heinous standard to Shadow the Hedgehog and even his great grandfather Professor Gerald Robotnik due to them being more heinous with less resources than him.
  • He isn't taken seriously since he has too many comedic moments for him to qualify as PE or NPE.
  • He is On & Off, as he teams up with Sonic and friends in multiple times like in the Metarex Arc, and the Shadow Arc when Professor Gerald Robotnik tried to destroy the world too. While he does do this out of selfish reasons, he doesn't betray Sonic and friends after their alliances are over or try to make the situation worse.
  • He has showcased some standards on occasions:
    • He called out the Metarex for torturing Chris and Cosmo while they were in captivity, saying hurting prisoners was going too far.
    • When the Eggsterminator was brutally beating Sonic to death in the season 1 finale, Eggman found the sight horrendous and outright begged the robot to stop.
    • He was horrified when learning that his grandfather, Gerald, wanted to destroy the world as revenge for Maria's death.
    • While he launched missiles at Tails in his plane, he did it under the assumption that he could call them off. When Decoe tells him this isn't the case, Eggman is genuinely livid over the idea of actually killing the young fox.
    • He calls out Sonic for using his Dark form. While some could say he's being a hypocrite considering his number of crimes, him talking Sonic out and getting him out of his Dark Sonic form was genuine as he didn't want Sonic to end up like Shadow.
  • He does show respect and even care towards Sonic despite them being enemies. In "Teasing Time", not only did Eggman come to Sonic's rescue, but he's also the one to talk to him down and bring him in his senses after he goes ballistic as Dark Sonic. Later on in "Hedgehog Hunt", he fled his ship in disguise of the Blue Typhoon and took the brunt of a Metarex attack so Sonic and his friends could leave the planet unharmed. Following this, Eggman proceeded to have a drink in his nemesis' honor.
  • He respects and admires his grandfather, Professor Gerald Robotnik, and was genuinely appalled that he wanted to destroy humanity.
  • Despite mistreating them, he does care for Bokkun, Decoe and Becoe, seeing them as his only true friends. He also takes the latter two back under his wing even after they briefly abandon him.
  • He cares and respects both Tails and Chris.
