Dietrich Viggo "Dieter" Stark is a major antagonist in The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the second installment of the Jurassic Park film series. He formed part of Peter Ludlow's InGen hunter team and displayed several cruel traits including occasional animal cruelty.
He was portrayed by Peter Stormare.

His Villainous Deeds[]
- Cooperates with most of Ingen's operations in capturing dinosaurs on the island to bring them to California.
- He is shown to be somewhat sadistic towards Compsognathus, whom he electrocutes to make him shy away from him.
- Discovers for Roland the lock that Nick and Sara broke from one of the cages to hand them over to Ludlow and Roland.
- Taunting Nick Van Owen to the face and almost getting beaten up, after the latter caused the destruction of the camp and the success of his men as well as causing him to lose Roland's command.
- After another Compsognathus bothers him to urinate, he sadistically tries to electrocute him and when he fails, tries to shoot him.
- After being bitten by a group of Compsognathus he throws stones at them, more out of rage than trauma and fear.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He fails the heinous standard to other villains that abuse too much dinosaurs and was more success.
- He has a friendship with the other hunters of Tambo and seems to appreciate the latter.
- He is an On/Off villain and he was about to hit Nick Van Owen but then he cooperates with Malcolm's team in a joint walk.
- His death was taken with some sympathy, After his men continued without noticing his absence, fell down the slope and then was bitten in several areas by a group of Compsognathus helplessly unable to escape from them. The group discovers his absence and what's left of him too late.
