Derieri, also known as Derieri of Purity, is a major character and former antagonist from the anime/manga series The Seven Deadly Sins. She was originally a member of the Ten Commandments, the Demon King's elite group of demons, and served him as well as swore to destroy the Goddess Clan and Seven Deadly Sins. However, after being betrayed by the Ten Commandments and after her lover Monspeet was murdered by Estarossa, she switched sides, teaming up with the Seven Deadly Sins to end the Holy War.
She was voiced in Japanese by Ayahi Takagaki (who also voiced Mariah in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders) and by Allegra Clark in the English dub.
Her Evil Ranking[]
Her Villainsou Deeds[]
- She aided the Ten Commandments, a group of hegemonic demons for a long period of times who terrorized humans and other races.
- She and Monspeet transformed into Indura's to kill the Four Archangels, even though this was somewhat justified as they attacked numerous innocent demons and had her cornered.
- She killed and ate the soul of an innocent man for no reason.
- She and other Commandments teamed up to murder Meliodas for his betrayal, with her using her Combo Star too munch Meliodas over 50 times, thus breaking his bones.
- She attacked Liones alongside the other Commandments, attempting to kill a group of Holy Knights.
- She attacked and killed Nadja, who possessed the body of Denzel Liones. Though to be fair, Nadja somewhat deserved it for being partially responsible for her sister's death.
Why Doesn't She Stand Out?[]
- Her actions are not as heinous as many other characters like Mael, Melascula, The Demon King and The Supreme Deity.
- She is tragic and empathetic, seeing as her sister and countless other demons were murdered in front of her just as she was willing to make peace with the Goddess Clan.
- She cared about her sister, Rajine as well as Monspeet.
- Her relationship with Monspeet is played for romance.
- She has a few comedic moments, such as punching Monspeet for commenting on her dress.
- She redeemed herself after being rescued by a human woman and being saved by Monspeet.
- She sacrifices herself to help stop Mael's rampage.
- Her death is played for sympathy.
