~ Darkwing expressing his hatred for miners and his most infamous quote. |
Darkwing is a minor antagonist in the 2024 animated film Transformers One. He is a loyal soldier who only swears allegiance to Sentinel Prime and the corrupt government alongside Airachnid. As a member of Sentinel Prime's empire, he is well-known to be a strict controller who supervises the Energon Miners.
He is voiced by Isaac Singleton Jr.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- For starters, he is clearly racist, ablest and abusive, he tortures and threatens the miners in the first place was just because they are cogless bots and they are weak and has no remorse for doing so.
- He drove B-127 insane by isolating him in sub level 50
- He fires Elita for Orion and D-16 breaking protocol. When she tries to protest, he makes a racist remark by saying she has limited options since she lacks a cog, to which a rightfully miffed Orion attempts to retaliate by flipping him off.
- While Darkwing's anger at Orion's taunt is reasonable, he goes too far as he attempts to punch him over it until D-16 blocks it, and despite the latter apologizing for Orion's recklessness and even punching him for Darkwing, the latter wasn't convinced and punched D-16 straight in the face just because he interfered.
- He endangered several racers during Iacon 5000 when he goes out of his way to ram D-16 and Orion Pax just for the heck of it.
- Despite Sentinel wanting to promote them (albeit for pragmatic reasons as he wanted to boost morale for the miners), he spitefully throws Orion Pax and D-16 to Level 50 along with Bumblebee.
- It's also implied that he was the one who put Bumblebee down there to bein with.
- Under Sentinel's orders, he forced the miners to work triple shifts without breaks, even though this could've potentially caused them to work themselves to death.
- When Ironhide tries to protest against this, Darkwing makes it clear he doesn't care when he threatesn him with brute force to get back in the mines before Orion stops him.
- His humiliating defeat where he's punched under an arcade cabinet by Orion is well deserved and played for satisfaction
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While it is true he can't be compared to Sentinel Prime as he has far more resources, or Airachnid and Megatron due to their worst actions relying on their greater power, skill in combat, and other traits that Darkwing lacks, he still fails the heinous standard to members of the high guard who attempted to destroy the city.
- While he doesn't care that he was working the miners to death, it was still done under Sentinel's demands.
- He does have small comedic moments that are played for laughs, such as him being mocked by Pax, being humiliated in the race when Pax and D-16 make him fall, his scene where the "MINERS!" meme comes from, and Orion punching him underneath an arcade cabinet in one swift hit, which ultimately shows how pathetic he really is when going up against someone his own size.
Trivia[]
- It's been theorized that Darkwing threw B-127 (Bumblebee) to Level 50 out of spite, which made the latter to go insane and lonely. If this was true, it would make him worse.
