Crona Gorgon is a major antagonist within the Soul Eater anime, serving as a secondary antagonist for much of the first half of the series until Maka connects and empathizes with Crona and surrenders themselves to the DWMA.
They're the demon swordsman that use to hunt down and collect innocent souls to become a kishin for their twisted mother Medusa, with their forever attached demon partner Ragnarok.
They were voiced by Maaya Sakamoto in Japanese (who also voiced Kiyomi Takada and Akito Sohma) and by Maxey Whitehead in the English dub.
Their Evil Ranking[]
Their Villainous Deeds[]
- Killed a baby dragon that Crona called the "little one" under their mother's orders.
- Kills a gang of people in the Santa Mario Novella Basilica with their demon sword, Ragnarok.
- Engage in battle with Soul and Maka and, in the end, slashes Soul's chest with her sword, infecting Soul's blood with their black blood.
- Consumes many innocent souls from the Nidhogg Ghost Ship.
- Out of fear for their mother, they plant a snake in Miss Marie's coffee so Stein's madness worsens when he's around her.
Why Don't They Stand Out?[]
- They fail the heinous standards to their mother whose done significantly worse than Crona by unleashing the Kishin Asura and blackmailed Eruka into doing her bidding by planting many snakes inside of her
- All of their villainous deeds were done under the order of Medusa and out of being manipulated by her, making them a villain by proxy.
- They're incredibly tragic as their mother would psychologically abuse them to make them get comfortable with the idea of killing people, as well as being cursed with having black blood, thanks to their mother for altering their natural blood.
- Crona ultimately redeems themselves near the end of the first half of the series, ever since Maka humanized and connected to them in a way no one else ever had.
- Crona is remorseful for all the crimes they committed and even goes as far as to fight for Maka's sake.
- They're genuinely affable and caring for Maka and her friends, especially after hanging out with them right before Medusa reappeared in Crona's life.
- Even pre-redemption Crona has a pet the dog moment and shows affability for Maka as she tells her that she reminds her of the "little one" whom Crona had killed as a child under Medusa's demand and even showing a sense of remorse for the act as well.
- They have a lot of heroic and noble moments within the anime.
- They were also very regularly played for sympathy in the show.
