~ Colonel Granite to Sonic. |
Colonel Percy Granite is a character from the Sonic the Comic comic book series, and the main antagonist of the "Earth Attacks" story. He is a member of the British military who was the head of Operation Starwatch, an agency meant to defend the Earth from extraterrestrial threats. After encountering alien life, however, Granite quickly began utilizing aggressive measures and using the agency for his own benefit.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- Despite claiming that his job is to protect the Earth from aliens, he doesn't actually care about his planet's safety, as he attempted to conquer it for himself in spite of the potential massive casualties the resulting war could cause.
- He isn't loyal to his country in the first place, as he didn't notify the Prime Minister of his invasion on Mobius, and got arrested once Sonic told him about his actions, further proving that he cares for his own benefit first and foremost.
- When he saw Tekno the Canary and Amy Rose, he had them imprisoned on suspicion that they are spies for an alien invasion force, despite having no evidence for it.
- It's implied that he punished Professor Cratermass for helping Tekno and Amy escape.
- He traveled into the past and set up a base in the 1870s United States, intending to use it for a global conquest.
- After being sent back to the present, he forced Tekno to open a portal to Mobius, admitting that he planned to invade it and wipe out Mobians.
- He eventually led Operation Starwatch's invasion of Mobius, during which he revealed his plans to sell off the planet's lands to industrial developers, with the resulting pollution leaving no place for "mutants" inhabiting it.
- Although he has some comedic moments, such as thinking Amy and Tekno work for goggly-eyed tentacled aliens and planning to rename Mobius "Planet Percy", they don't detract from his villainy, as his threat is still taken seriously by the narrative, but rather serve to show how ignorant and egotistical he is.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- Despite passing the baseline standard with his attempted genocide against Mobians, he fails the in-universe standards of Sonic the Comic continuity, due to attempted genocide, his worst crime, being very common among its villains.
