~ Cutter turning against Mandible and redeeming himself. |
Colonel Cutter is the secondary antagonist of DreamWorks' 1st animated feature film Antz and General Mandible's second-in-command. Even though he was Mandible's henchman, he started having second thoughts about their plan to liquidate the colony and make a newer, stronger colony. In the end, Cutter finally rebels against Mandible, saves Z and the colony, and becomes the new general.
He was voiced by Christopher Walken.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- He aided General Mandible in his plan to kill the Queen Ant along with the worker ants in their colony by flooding their hill. This was because Mandible wished to start anew and have a strong colony with his future wife Princess Bala.
- He accompanies Mandible to get permission from the Queen to launch an attack on the termites.
- Due to Cutter forcing Bala to have a talk with Mandible, Bala is supposedly kidnapped by the army's lone survivor Z.
- Under the general's orders, Cutter sets out to retrieve Bala and kill Z.
- He takes Bala back to Mandible who reveals to her his plan to flood the hill, before locking her in his office in order to stop her from interfering with his plan and to protect her from the flood as he still intends to marry her and make her the Queen of his new colony.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- He is bog-standard, as his worst crimes amount to assisting a villain and committing crimes under someone's orders, with everything else amounting to kill-the-hero villainy and generic abuse, preventing Cutter from meeting the baseline even if he did assist a Pure Evil villain in an attempted genocide.
- He fails the heinous standards very hard to General Mandible himself, who sent thousands of soldiers on a suicide mission and planned to kill millions of worker ants.
- He redeemed himself by betraying Mandible and helping Z instead of killing him.
- He is genuinely affable to others.
- He is honorable to some extent.
- He had standards against Mandible's plan.
