Chet LaTroy, also known as The Kansas City Scalper is a minor antagonist of Season 2 in Tim Burton's Netflix series Wednesday. He is a murderer known as "The Kansas City Scalper" whose killings catches the interest of Wednesday Addams. He is portrayed by Haley Joel Osment.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • In 2003 he started his killing spree when he murdered his first victim Olivia Hudson.
  • He would usually kidnap his victims and take them to his basement where he made a doll of them before scalping them and leaving there bodies for the authorities to find.
  • His murders gave him the nickname The Kansas City Scalper.
  • His actions would cause a young Wednesday Addams to become fascinated with serial killers.
  • He tormented Denise "Duckie" Nigard of his victims so bad that she died from her injuries.
  • In 2023 he still kills people as before kidnapping Wednesday he was loading stuff into his van meaning he was likely going to find and murder someone.
  • Kidnaps Wednesday and ties her up in his basement where he comes in showing her a doll that resembles her telling her it's how he remembers all his "special guests", which heavily implies he has killed dozens if not hundreds of people.
  • His defeat of being scalped by Wednesday and found by the authorities isn't played for sympathy but rather karma for all the things he’s done.
  • He lacks any redeeming qualities or freudian excuse other than just being a sadistic serial killer.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • While his crimes of serial murder, mutilation, kidnapping and torture do pass the general baseline he fails the heinous standards to Joseph Crackstone who despite also being a normie like Chet is shown to do more heinous stuff.
  • His crimes do rely on fridge horror as his murders are only heard about.
