Villainous Benchmarks who suffer from low self-esteem and try to gain respect, friendship, or love through their villainous acts. Most of the time, it only takes appreciation and affection from other people for them to redeem themselves.

However, unfortunately many of these villains are too absorbed in their personal problems to accept help and trust other people.

NOTE: Villains that are insecure but are not portrayed sympathetically in-universe and are more egotistically insecure do not count (e.g. Ercole Visconti and Princess Morbucks).
