Villainous Benchmarks from media subgenre known as "Exploitation" - often extremely controversial and dealing with taboo subject matter this media often merges with Horror, Black Comedy and adult entertainment: it was especially prominent during a period known as the "Video Nasty" era, spawning many titles that continued to be seen today, due to their often (intentionally) controversial content. Exploitation media is often banned, but that which is released usually becomes cult-favorites amongst a small yet dedicated subgroup.
NOTE: Villains who rely solely on shock value are no longer allowed on this wiki. There needs to be a clear message or theme within the story in order for the villain to count.
They are the opposite of Controversial Heroic Benchmarks.
