In the palace, right here, lived a wicked wazir; the advisor to Sultan Hamed. And this part-time magician, this amateur seer, wished his boss, the good sultan, dead. He was charming and slick, but unspeakably sick, this despicable parasite. What a villain, boo, hiss! Further proof, dears, that this is another Arabian night...
~ Lyrics describing Jafar from a demo of Arabian Nights.

Villainous Benchmarks who appear as either the primary or main antagonist of a series or story, series or long-running franchises they appear in. They are the villains that stand on top of the villain hierarchy and have the most power and influence of the story.

It's not very common for a Big Bad to be Villainous Benchmark since they are usually very heinous and set the heinous standard of the story. However if the Big Bad fail the heinous standard to Bigger Bads or other more dangerous villains (e.g. Dr. Ivo Robotnik, Mojo Jojo, Rob), or their actions rely on Fridge Horror (e.g. Jafar), they can count here.

Note: DO NOT add villains of a single book/game/movie/season of a TV show or villains of a story without enough antagonists. In order for a villain to qualify as a Big Bad, they have to appear in long-running stories with numerous arcs and protagonists.
