Burger-Beard is the main antagonist of Nickelodeon's live-action mixed with 2D and 3D animation movie The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water.
He was played by Antonio Banderas.

His Villainous Deeds[]
- He hated singing birds so much that he apparently killed three of them to make a point in the past, which makes it worse considering the fact that he was aware of the animals' sapience as he directly talks to them.
- After stealing a magic book from an island, he used it to steal the Krabby Patty formula, which turned Bikini Bottom into an apocalyptic cesspool.
- While he continued the story, it was only so he won't get pooped on by the seagulls and even then, he doesn't end the apocalypse even though he has the power to.
- Four days into an alternate future, Bikini Bottom also had a famine and looks completely deserted, which implies that thousands have died to the point the point that others had to move away.
- Patrick himself also states that the people all gave up on SpongeBob, except for Patrick because of his low intelligence, which implies that they all died
- After he landed his truck ship on a street, he used hot wings to make the seagulls think he killed Kyle to shoo them off, threatening to turn another one into hot wings. After Kyle walked out of the bathroom, he caused him to lose his feathers by shouting at it with a megaphone.
- When SpongeBob and his friends arrived to take back the formula, he sent them to Pelican Island to get them killed in spite of the fact that there were much less dangerous places he could have sent them to.
- When SpongeBob and his friends tried to stop him, he defeated them by countering all the peanuts Sandy shot at him, tricking Patrick into flying the ice cream cones at himself, blasting Mr. Krabs away with butter, and injuring SpongeBob by shooting cannonballs at him.
- When Plankton tried to stop him, he threw hot sauce into his eye, burning him.
- He tried to convince Plankton to join him at the end before Plankton sent him flying to an island.
- While he did give the formula to Plankton, this was only because Plankton refused to team up and giving it away was the only way Plankton would let him go.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While he passes the baseline due to stealing the Krabby Patty Formula to cause the apocalypse and using a magic book to bend reality to his will, he fails the heinous standards to Mr. Krabs (who enslaved and tortured jellyfish and tried driving Plankton to suicide), Plankton (who brainwashed and enslaved all of Bikini Bottom), the Cyclops (who brutally tortured multiple sea creatures to death while knowing they were sapient), and even SpongeBob (who destroyed reality by pulling a thread) and Patrick (who committed genocide by eating the entire land of Hamdonia). Those characters lower resources than Burger-Beard, who, thanks to the magic book, has the highest amount of resources of any character in the show.
- Incidentally, SpongeBob, Patrick, Krabs and Plankton are depicted as heroic characters in the movie.
- He relies on Fridge Horror too much as no one was confirmed to die in the apocalypse he indirectly started in Bikini Bottom with everything else amounting to theft and trying to kill the heroes.
- While four days in the alternate future, Bikini Bottom became deserted and Patrick said that "everyone gave up on SpongeBob", it's not made clear if it's a euphemism for death or if everyone left Bikini Bottom.
- Throughout the movie, he is heavily played for laughs and is rarely, if ever, taken seriously.
- He did try to avoid running over people while driving his boat over a beach, telling everyone to move out of the way, which shows he is not entirely uncaring for others.
- He does eventually make up for his mistreatment with the seagulls as he sings the SpongeBob theme song with them after his defeat, showing that he does care for them.
