Bronn, eventually known as Ser Bronn of the Blackwater, is a major character in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series and its TV adaptation Game of Thrones.
Bronn is a skilled and deadly sellsword. Eventually, he is hired by Tyrion Lannister, forming a friendship with him. Due to his contributions in the Battle of the Blackwater, he was knighted by King Joffrey I Baratheon's Kingsguard, and called Ser Bronn of the Blackwater.
He is portrayed by Jerome Flynn.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- Before the story he killed some men, possibly as a mercenary, admitting that he even killed a woman who tried to kill him. He also has a willingness to kill infants and took part on quarrels from young age, even breaking the some noses of rivals.
- He fights without honor and is proud of it, even taking advantage of Jamie's training (who was crippled in this time) by beating him and throwing away his golden hand.
- When Tyrion assigned him the commander of the City Watch, he helped the Little Lion throw Pycelle in the black cells, exiled Janos Slynt and nearly going fighting Meryn Trant, even if the latter two deserved it.
- He helped the Lannister family enthrone Joffrey Baratheon and fight against the Starks.
- Under Tyrion's orders, he blew up of Stannis Baratheon's ships and killed many sailors, though this was for the protection of the city.
- When Podrick sent him a message by Tyrion's order when he was on brothel, he threatened to kill him.
- Nearly going to kill Meryn Trant when he called to guard on Tyrion's room (Trant only served as Cersei's guard).
- After the Blackwater battle, he doubles his price to Tyrion and Jaime.
- It is implied by his sayings that he was going to kill his fiancée's sister Falyse Stokeworth (she could to been suffer from some unpleasant accident), in fact Brom testifies that he was engaged to Lollys Stokeworth even though he did not love her at all but only saw her as a goal to inherit her father's castle.
- Helped Jaime to secretly infiltrate Dorn, kill some guards including one horse (one of them Bronn gave to Jaime for fight when he was cripple). he also beat the Prince Trystane Martell to unconsciousness.
- His intervention indirectly leads to the Coup in Dorne.
- He helped Jaime to the Freys retake a castle from the Blackfish (actually no battle but still) and destroyed the Tyrell army.
- He tried to shoot Daenerys's dragon and hurt him on his wing.
- He broke Jaime's order to meet with him and Tyrion, though Tyrion was an outcast.
- He agreed to Cersei's request after being paid off to shoot her two brothers (though he ultimately didn't). When he found them, he broke Tyrion's nose and left only after a promise that he would receive Highgarden after the war.
Why he Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- While his actions as a cutthroat for hire and willingness to kill infants are enough to pass the general baseline, these crimes are extremely common in Game of Thrones, causing Bronn to fail the heinous standards.
- He was in the grey zone that acted by some codes like how he wasn't forced Shae to get from King's Landing.
- He is affably evil and shows some kindness to Tyrion and Jaime, he praises Tyrion before Jaime to Make him visit him in his detention, wishes him luck in the duel against the mountain and confesses that he will miss him. He also saved Jamie from the dragon's flames, though it's unclear if it's out of friendship or to get a reward on future.
- He has many comedic moments which detract from his heinousness.
- In the last episode he stopped being a villain, collaborating with the other heroes including Tyrion whom he threatened earlier, and even before that he was considered an On & Off villain.
