Brain (in Japanese: ブレイン, Burein) is a major antagonist in the anime/manga series Fairy Tail, serving as the main antagonist of the Oración Seis arc. He is the diabolical leader of the Oración Seis, a Dark Guild composed of powerful Mages whose goal was to find an apocalyptic Magic known as Nirvana, which was sealed away long ago.
Inside him dwelled another, more evil and dangerous personality known as Zero (ゼロ, Zero), who serves as the true leader of the Oración Seis, before his death at the hands of Cobra.

- Attempted to kill the Allied Forces only to relent when he saw Wendy.
- Threatened to beat up Wendy if she doesn't help him with Nirvana.
- Shot Cobra in the back after he failed to defeat Natsu.
- Plans to use Nirvana so he would have people with corrupting/redeeming traits switch sides.
- In the past, he tortured Ultear to make her a follower, but left her behind as he saw her too strong.
As Zero[]
- Kills his sentient staff Klodoa.
- As Zero, he attempts to use Nirvana to wipe out Cait Shelter.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- Fails the Heinous Standard to Jose Porla (who attempted to kill hundreds if the titular guild doesn't give him Lucy), the cult leaders (who wiped out a town and enslaved, tortured and mutilated dozens of children) and Ultear herself (who destroyed a town to give Hades the keys to revive Zeref and destroyed the Magic Council) who did worse with fewer resources.
Trivia[]
- Since Zero returned after his supposed death at Cobra's hands, it's possible his status might change in the future.
