Justin Braxton Reynolds Senior, or simply just known as Braxton (formerly Bowser), is a major character of the SML series.
He is the father of Junior and is a lazy couch potato who spends all his time in his bedroom watching his favorite TV show, Charleyyy and Friends. Despite this, he has sometimes stepped out of his bedroom and helped Marvin in his shenanigans, parenting Junior, or eating food made by Chef Pee Pee.
He was played by Lance Thirtyacre as a puppet in "The Perfect Plan!" along with as a plush in "American Idol Mario Edition. Episode 2," with Chilly Jimenez portraying him in "Jeffy's BIG Easter!" From 2008 to 2010, he was voiced by Logan Thirtyacre, with Zeke voicing him from 2008-2009. However, Lovell Stanton voices him from 2011 onwards.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- In older episodes, he used to beat his son Junior whenever he made a mistake, making him an abusive parent. This abuse is heavily implied to be what turned Junior into the person he is today. For example, in Bowser Junior's Punishment, just for breaking his favorite cup (accidentally by the way) he beats him severely with a belt and abused Junior to the point where he became mentally depressed and tried to commit suicide, and in Sticky Situation where he grounds Junior for making a macaroni sculpture and in Bowser Junior’s biggest fear where he suffocates his son when he was a baby with cotton balls claiming they’re “good for him” to the point he gets a huge fear of them and in Bowser Junior Gets Sick where he kicks his son out of the house for being sick, all of this he shown no remorse for.
- What makes it worst is that there are times where he beats up Junior for the smallest things like when he beats him up because he missed an episode of Charleyyy and friends.
- While Junior did worse than him it’s still not a excuse for child abuse.
- He spends most of his time in his bedroom watching his favorite TV show, Charleyyy and Friends, rather than taking care of Bowser Junior, making him a neglectful parent.
- He constantly abuses and tortures Chef Pee Pee and doesn’t even pay him well, making both him and Junior the reason why Chef Pee Pee is the way
- He robbed many gas stations when he was young.
- He murdered a girl named Lindsay Brown because he was fighting with her over a keychain.
- In Mario and Luigi's Stupid and Dumb Adventures, he kidnapped Mario’s brother Luigi just to kill him, killed Black Yoshi, and used dark magic to bring many of Mario’s dead friends back to life, like Princess Peach and Mama Luigi, in an attempt to kill him.
- In Mario and Bowsers Stupid and Crazy Adventures, he kills 2 of his henchmen (Koopa and Goomba) for not giving him answers on where the princess was even tho he didn’t give them any time to give him answers he just killed them right away in a fit of rage. When the Yoshi chose to ride Mario instead of him he chose to ride on Chef Pee Pee which led to Chef Pee Pee getting into a coma and getting paralyzed, something he shows no remorse over. Came up with the Idea to torture Sonic for answers on where Princess Peach and Charleyyy are, which indirectly led to Sonic going for revenge on Mario and Bowser for the torture, and Sonics revenge was him attempting to harm Peaches baby and continuously beating Mario, Bowser saw Mario getting beat up but did nothing for a couple minutes choosing to just record his now friend getting beat up. It took him a while for him to call Black Yoshi to help Mario.
- In Super Bowl Commercials, he strangles a child.
- In Evil Bowser just to feel evil again like he was in his past he goes up to Junior and beats him severely with a belt for no reason at all. He also puts a thumbtack in Chef Pee Pee's sandwich, which seriously injures his mouth.
- In Chef Pee Pee Quits: Part 4, he runs over his own son Junior just to see who survives in order to get the last GoGurt. When Junior dies, Bowser victoriously eats the last GoGurt and doesn't care that he murdered his own son.
- In Black Yoshi’s Money Problem, he helped Mario rob a gas station and killed Mr. Goodman when he was going to arrest them.
- In Jeffy Goes To The Zoo, he is shown to be hypocritical as he shamed Mario for being a bad parent and letting Harambe die despite being a abusive one himself, claiming that his abuse is what makes him a good parent.
- In The Charleyyy and Friends Problem! When he got angry over the reboot of his favorite show Charleyyy and Friends as it was a cringy animated series, he went to Chef Pee Pee put his face on the pan while Chef Pee Pee was cooking and then he threw his body to the wall, just to vent his anger on someone. He then brought a gun to Charleyyy and Friends Headquarters to force the writers to change it back to Live action which he succeeded in.
- In Junior Gets His Ears Pierced, he relentlessly beat Junior with a belt just because he asked if he could get his ears pierced.
Why He Doesn’t Stand Out?[]
- Despite being abusive and neglectful, he does genuinely love and care for his son Junior, as he saved him from hanging himself, saved him from a shark, beat up Mario for calling him a "piece of sh*t", attempted to get his gold Thomas back from Bully Bill and stopped Brooklyn Guy from tormenting him in military school after realizing it didn't fix him while accepting the fact that Junior is the way he is and that nothing can change that and bonding with him by fixing the table with him.
- He has eventually redeemed himself, becoming an anti-hero by helping Marvin in his shenanigans.
- He is on & off as throughout the series he has done many heroic acts out of genuine good intentions.
- He mostly stopped being abusive towards his son, Bowser Junior, because his son has somewhat matured.
- In The Final Battle, he is shown to be honorable due to giving Mario some of his powers so it could be an even fight.
- Despite passing the baseline, he fails the high heinous standard of SML where characters like Marvin, Vladimir Smirnov, Bott Buddy, and Froger attempted genocide, and others who successfully committed genocide.
- Like with most SuperMarioLogan characters, he isn’t taken seriously, has many comedic moments, and is played for laughs too often to be considered as Pure Evil or Near Pure Evil. He is also incompetent to the point that he barely has the courage to step out of his bedroom and is unable to do basic tasks like making food for himself. Even his abuse towards Junior is played for laughs.
Trivia[]
- He and his SMBZ’s counterpart are the only versions of Bowser to be Villainous Benchmark.
- He is the only version of Bowser to be both a Villainous Benchmark and a Heroic Benchmark.
- If SML ended on The Final Battle, he would no longer qualify as a Villainous Benchmark since he passed the heinous standard due to it being lower and him standing out and would be morally scaled higher.
