Robert DuBois, often known as Bloodsport, is the main protagonist of the DC Extended Universe film, The Suicide Squad.

He is a contract assassin who was imprisoned following a failed attempt to kill Superman. After this, he was blackmailed into joining the Suicide Squad by Amanda Waller, who threatened to put Bloodsport's daughter Tyla in prison.

He was played by Idris Elba.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

Background[]

  • He became an assassin, possibly killing dozens of people.
  • He got Superman hospitalized after trying to kill him with a Kryptonite bullet.
  • He was often a neglectful father to Tyla.

The Suicide Squad[]

  • When he learned that Tyla tried to steal a sophisticated hi-tech watch, he was angry about the fact that it was a stupid thing to steal and not the crime itself.
  • Even when not being a villain, he is still angry and cynical to almost everybody.
  • He killed a group of innocent people in an ego-match with Peacemaker.
    • While he did think they were evil, he didn't seem to care when he found out that they weren't (yet, he did demonstrated some embarrassment for his own actions after learning they were innocent).
  • He blackmailed Amanda Waller into letting him and the squad free.

Why He Doesnā€™t Stand Out?[]

  • He fails the heinous standards to Peacemaker, who while also massively failing the heinous standards, had a much higher kill count with comparable resources.
  • He has a sad backstory of having a terrible father who inflicted cruel punishments on Bloodsport whenever he failed a task.
    • It is worth noting that one of these punishments, getting locked in a crate full of starving rats for an entire day, gave Bloodsport a traumatic fear of rats.
  • Despite their hostile relationship, he cares about his daughter, and she is the only reason he joined the Suicide Squad in the first place.
    • He even blackmailed Waller in order to prevent Tyla to be put in a dangerous prison (undoubtedly Belle Reve).
  • He saved Ratcatcher 2 twice, first when she was about to be eaten by Nanaue and again when she was about Peacemaker.
  • He's On and Off, as he saved, along with his teammates, the city of Corto Maltese from Starro.
