Axem Yellow, or simply known as Yellow, is a supporting antagonist in the popular 2006 flash animation series, Super Mario Bros. Z, originally created by Mark Haynes/Alvin Earthworm.
He is a member of the Axem Rangers X, an elite team of five skilled battle robots created by their hegemonic master, Smithy, and their main purpose is to make him more powerful to conquer the universe easily.
The largest member, Yellow serves as the brawn and a typical clutz and comic relief to the group. He has a glutton for food and likes eating donuts and sandwiches, particularly in McGoombas. Unlike his fellow members, Yellow's primary weapon is not axe, using a superpowered hammer combined with his fists.

His Villainous Deeds[]
- He is an elite soldier leading Axem Rangers X, working for his hegemonic master Smithy, assisting him on his way of conquering the whole universe.
- During his first encounter with Mario and his team, Red mentions that he and his fellow Rangers fought Mario before but lost, most likely talking about the events of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, in which they attempt to defeat Mario and his allies, and recover the sixth Star Piece for Smithy on his way of ruling the world.
- In order to search a power source to make Smithy more powerful, he and his fellow Rangers patrol around the Mushroom Kingdom and find a Chaos Emerald -which they call the "Amethyst of Might"- in Yoshi's Island. They disguised themselves as Yoshis -whom the Yoshi Chief states as "Strange Yoshis"- to steal the emerald from the Yoshi Tribe.
- After they stole the emerald, they invaded the whole island with their massive warship Blade, and enslaved Yoshis, forcing them dig up the island to find more emeralds.
- Provoked a fight between their team, Mario's team and Koopa Bros, and attempted to kill them in order to collect all seven Chaos Emeralds and keep for his master Smithy.
- Split a mountain of Yoshi Island in half with his hammer attack just to kill Sonic.
- Under Red's orders, he individually attempted to kill Semi-Super Mecha Sonic, and when he couldn't do so, he assisted his group to kill th robot. While Mecha Sonic is indeed a bigger and eviler threat, the Rangers' main and initial purpose was to steal the emeralds instead of destroying a bigger threat for greater good.
Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]
- His acts of attempted mass murder are bad enough to pass the general baseline, but he still massively fails the high heinous standards of the series to Turbo Mecha Sonic and Axem Red, who are both genocidal mass murderers.
- Genuinely cares about his master Smithy and his fellow Axem Rangers.
- He is played with intense comedy, such as his introduction, his way of reaction upon learning Turbo Mecha Sonic's power level.
- His death is portrayed with slight sympathy, as Yoshi Chief sympathizes with him being brutally killed by Mecha Sonic, stating that even bad ones like Axem Rangers X do not deserve a cruel fate like that.
Trivia[]
- It is confirmed by Word of God that in the cancelled Smithy Saga, Red and the other Rangers would be planned to brought back to life by Smithy while creating a new member of the group, Axem Blue. Had this would happen, Red's status could have changed depending on how the series continue.
