You fools weren't listening to me, were you? I showed mercy... You mistook it for weakness. Now I will show strength and you may mistake it for brutality. There is no escape for any of you. I shall hunt you to the ends of the earth... and the end of time. I've killed your friends... and I've enjoyed killing them... and now I'm gonna kill each and every one of you!
~ Andrew Milton threatens the Van Der Linde gang.

Agent Andrew Milton is one of the two main antagonists (alongside Micah Bell) of the 2018 action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption 2.

He is a Pinkerton Agent hired by Leviticus Cornwall to track down the Van Der Linde Gang. He is the arch-nemesis of Dutch van der Linde and one the arch-enemies of Arthur Morgan (alongside Micah Bell and Colm O'Driscoll).

He was voiced by John Hickok in motion capture.

His Evil Ranking[]

His Villainous Deeds[]

  • Worked for Leviticus Cornwall and showed pride in the Native Americans genocide.
  • Found an injured Mac Callandar and killed him slowly. While Callander was a notorious outlaw of the Van Der Linde gang, this doesn’t excuse Milton sadistically killing him.
  • Encounters Arthur Morgan near the side of a river and tells him that if he turns in Dutch Van Der Linde, he will be granted amnesty. When failing doing so, he brags about killing Callander slowly, despite the presence of four years-old Jack Marston.
  • Confronts Dutch and the gang at their camp and tells them that if Dutch surrenders, he will give the rest of the gang a head start. When the gang refuses the offer, he tells them he'll come back with a large amount of men and kill them all, even the less heinous members (Pearson, Swanson, the women…)
  • When the gang rob the Saint Denis Bank, he has his men surround the bank and shoots dead an unarmed Hosea and two of his men kill Lenny, who was trying to run away with Arthur just to spite the gang, especially Arthur and Dutch.
  • When the Gang regroup in Lakay, he and his men show up and he gives them a few seconds to come up and surrender, before deciding to just have a henchman mounted on a Maxim Gun to open fire and slaughter anyway despite the presence of Jack and numerous unarmed people.
  • Kidnaps Abigail Roberts and later Sadie Adler to force Arthur facing him in Van Horn Trading Post.
  • Attempts to kill Arthur one last time when he comes to save Abigail and sadistically laughs at him for being weaker because of Tuberculosis.

Why He Doesn't Stand Out?[]

  • He massively fails the standards to characters who did worse than him with less resources, like Micah and The Skinner Brothers.
  • He does seem to be genuine when he offers deals to the gang, only attacking them when both of his offers are turned down.
  • He has a Pet the Dog moment where he warns the gang members to leave while they have the chance, even after they all decline his offer to turn over Dutch.
  • Unlike his associate, he is a well-intentioned extremist who wants to bring an end to the age of the outlaws and protect modern society. This is backed up by his refusal to act outside of the confines of the law, even at Leviticus Cornwall’s request.
