Agatha Harkness is the main antagonist of the Disney+ miniseries WandaVision and the titular main protagonist of her spin-off show Agatha All Along.

She is a witch who was under the alias of "Agnes", in order to figure out why Wanda created the Hex, as well as her past, and powers. She is the arch-nemesis of Scarlet Witch.

She was portrayed by Kathryn Hahn.

She killed her mother, Evanora, and the Witches without any remorse for it. Although Evanora deserve it for being abusive mother.
While it appeared that she didn’t know about what her magic was doing was illegal and dangerous, this was only as an excuse to prevent herself from being killed.
She kills witches on regular basic to steal their foods and powers, even killing the group of witches that offered her and her son food, even teaching her son to do it.
She created a Witch Road story from the song that she made with her son to steal other witches' powers. Which probably does not actually exist or actually functions very different from what Agatha claimed.
She claims that she bit a child once.
She helped a misogynist doctor created a power seal to put on Jennifer for money.
It's impiled she's behind Hindenburg Disaster, Sinking of the Titanic, and many more. Possibly for Rio who's Lady Death.
At some point before 2023 take place, she obtained a copy of Darkhold which corrupted her and make her hate Rio, but since she was already terrible person before obtain Darkhold, this is not a moral prevention.

Wandavision[]

After she somehow sensed Wanda's Magic, she went to Westview under the alias of “Agnes” to spy on her, spied on Wanda after sensing chaos magic, in order to figure out why she created the Hex.
She possessed Ralph Bohner into Wanda’s brother, Pietro, in order for her to know about the Hex.
She made Ralph murdered Sparky by poisoning him.
She kidnapped Billy and Tommy after taking them to her home.
She prevented Wanda from listening to Monica on stopping the Hex.
After she revealed her true colors to Wanda, she locked the door to prevent her from escaping.
While she didn’t resurrect Wanda’s brother, Pietro, this was only for pragmatic reasons.
She transformed a bug into a bird, grabbed it, and then fed it to her pet rabbit, which horrified Wanda. When Wanda lies that she didn’t create the hex, she continues torturing her by knocking her at a few rocks.
She threatened Wanda to let her go to her past by letting her hear her children’s screams.
She took Billy and Timmy hostage in front of Wanda, and refused to free them to give back to her.
Although she called out Wanda for torturing people, this is hypocrisy as Agatha herself has also tortured individuals.
When a few of the S.W.O.R.D. Agents target at her, she takes them hostage, and drops them down almost to their deaths before Wanda saves them.
She tricks Wanda into giving her magic to her. Once Wanda gives it to her, she reveals she lied as she tried to use her powers to kill Wanda. However, they didn’t work.
Indirectly cause Wanda to become The Scarlet Witch when she absorb all of magics she accimulate by killing witches along with take her possesion of Darkhold. Indirectly cause the event in Multiverse of Madness.

Agatha All Along[]

Under her police identity, she interrogated a teen in a rude manner, only to later discover that she had kidnapped him.
She plans to recruit witches to join her crusade to go to The Road to absorb their powers.
- She order "Teen" to attract Alice-Wu's attention by stealing and then put the item back which made her angered boss fire her.
- By doing this, she involved Sharon Davis, an innocent old lady who knows nothing about magic and doesn't care that she might get hurt on the trip.
When Witch Road Song seemingly did not work, she tried to make other Witches that can still use power angry and attack her so she can steal their powers.
During the first test, she did not drink the wine knowing what she was doing, she decided not to warn the other witches and although she did drink it in the end it was because she was forced to.
Although she helped save Sharon she did it for pragmatic reasons, because later when she dies, Agatha feels nothing for her death and simply asks who Sharon was.
She killed Alice for her powers after she exorcised Evanora's spirit from Agatha's body, even though Alice had been loyal to Agatha and the other witches and just tried to save her from being possessed.
- While Agatha was initially shocked by what she did, even claiming it was an accident, she quickly subverts her remorse by gloating to "Teen" that he is just like his mother, revealing him to be one Billy Maximoff, Wanda's son.
- In doing so, she was indirectly responsible for Billy mind-controlling Jennifer Kale and Lilia Calderu to dump Agatha in a quicksand-like mud trap as well as throwing them into it too.
- The worst part is Alice-Wu just broke her family curse thanks to the road. If she's the last of her bloodline, then her breaking the curse mean nothing in the end.
She ask for Billy to repowering to help her pass final trial, which Billy refuse as she will most likely leave him to died in the road alone. So she opted to help Billy ressurect Tommy instead.
When Billy say it should be him that go with Death, she surrender him to Rio seemingly without hesitation, despite him coming back to save her from Rio. Accepting herself to be a covenless witch.

Why She Doesn’t Stand Out?[]

She fails the heinous standards to the Scarlet Witch who has committed much more heinous actions than Agatha in the show.
- While she did influence Wanda to be corrupted by the Darkhold, indirectly causing her multiversal rampage in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, this was unintentional on Agatha's part as she couldn't have known it would happen.
- Although she killed a thousand witches in the past, she still fails the heinous standards to Loki killing more people in his New York invasion one single day for a more evil goal. (Who did not even pass the standard himself.)
She has some legitimate tragedy in that her mother believed that she was born evil, wanted to kill her the moment she was born, and had no love for her at all. Which eventually makes her growth to become evil a self-fulfilling prophecy. Although this is minor prevention as she has a choice not to be evil.
She sheds a tear when she visits Wanda's memory of her and Vision.
She cares about her pet, Scratchy.
She loves her son Nicholas Scratch. When he was about to born, Agatha begged Rio to not take her life in which she agreed to extend his life span. She also very sad when Rio eventually came to take his life.
- She raised him with love and care, despite teaching him to do evil stuff. She also made sure not to become an abusive parent like her mother and didn't punish him when he refuse to help her kill witches.
- It's possible she want to steal Wanda power to ressurect Nicky.
- In first episode when she was stuck in detective role due to Wanda's spell, she has a room where she keep the belongings of her dead son in which she visit sand mourns for him with sad music in that scene.
- In a vision during the first test, she cries at the memory of him being traded for Darkhold, which is actually not real but created by the road from what other people believe of her.
- When Rio ask why she let other believe she traded him for Darkhold, she say the truth is even more painful.
She has comedic moments where she is not taken very seriously.
She had a romantic history with Rio Vidal, the embodiment of Death, and still has feelings for her when Rio joined Agatha's coven, despite hating her for taking her son away. (Which isn't even Rio's fault as she simply came to claim his soul after he passed away from ilness.)
She has standard as she refuse to hurt children.
- She spare kids of the witches from her old coven, only for them to return to hunt Agatha and her allies for revenge.
- She cares for Billy, as she accepts to drink poison wine so he doesn't has to, is visibly sad when he is dying from bleeding wound, even feeling sad when he says he not trust her anymore.
She helps Billy find a host body for Tommy. When Billy asks is he killed a homeless boy that has no one to save Tommy or not, she says "sometimes boys died."
She chooses not to take all of Billy power and tried to fight Death together which is failed, and Death says one of them must come with her and she will allow the other to live.
While she momentarily agrees to let Billy die. When Billy asks if is this the way Nicholas died, she's overcome by sadness and let Death claim her life by kissing her and absorb her power, killing her. Although she returns as ghost and claims that she didn’t try to sacrifice herself to save him and she just calculate the risk that she has a change to return as a ghost.
She tried to make Billy feel less guilty for indirectly causing their Coven members' deaths by saying she was plan to absorb their powers from the beginning and his Witches Road actually extended their deaths and fulfill their life purpose before they died, and that he actually saved Jennifer's life and made her reclaim her powers.
When Billy tried to banish her ghost to the afterlife, she resists and tries to reclaim her necklace. She claims she's not ready to face him after all the things she has done. Despite the fact that she wants to reunite with him.
